About the project
PPOP Tétouan · Volume 00
Sounds of Tétouan is a section of the Publishing Power of Place publication ; a fieldwork project conducted between May 18 and 23, 2026, in Tétouan, Morocco. Over six days the team captured fifty moments: prayer calls at dawn, voices in the souk, water in fountains, the silence of a long white alley.
The orbs you navigate are not a tour. They are a constellation ; fragments of a city held in suspension, asking what publishing means when the medium is place itself. What is Tétouan's potential, when listened to?
Six themes
Temporal rhythms: prayer calls, dawn, night, silence
The old city: streets, doors, windows, passages
People, animals, hospitality, public life
Mountains, sea, panoramas, green spaces
Crafts: leather, weaving, graffiti, handmade
Rooftops: women's spaces, terraces, views
